18 Years. One Focus.
Your Home. Your Terms.
Core Reset Studio is a private, in-home assisted stretching practice operated by Stephen Ashley. Low volume. Fully individualized. Built around the principle that the setting is part of the work.
Eighteen Years In.
Still Focused on the Work.
My name is Stephen Ashley. I’ve spent 18 years working with the body through hands-on practice — long enough to know that the quality of a session is determined less by technique and more by attention.
My background is in hands-on bodywork. Over those eighteen years I developed a sensitivity to how the body holds tension, where it resists movement, and what it actually needs to release — not by force, but by working with the nervous system rather than against it.
Over time, that work evolved. Assisted stretching became the clearest expression of what I do well: guided, intentional movement that helps the body open up in a way that feels structured, not aggressive.
I moved to an in-home model because it produces better results. A familiar environment means a calmer nervous system. A calmer nervous system means less guarded tissue. Less guarded tissue means the work goes further. The logic is straightforward — and the outcomes reflect it.
Core Reset Studio is a deliberately small practice. I work with a small number of clients, I come to them, and I don’t apply a standardized protocol. Every session begins with a brief conversation about what the body is presenting that day. From there, the session is built around that — not around a script.
Assisted stretching is guided movement. It is fully clothed, pressure-free, and appropriate for active adults who want their mobility and ease back without adding another obligation to their week. If that sounds like what you’re looking for, reach out. We’ll have a brief conversation first. No pressure.
The Principles Behind the Work.
These aren’t slogans. They’re the practical commitments that shape how every session at Core Reset Studio is built and delivered.
Relief Over Performance
The goal isn’t to push further than last time. It’s to leave you feeling more at ease in your body than when we started. Progress is real — but comfort is the compass.
Space Over Force
The body responds better to invitation than to pressure. Every movement is controlled, paced, and guided — never forced past the point of ease. Resistance is information, not an obstacle.
Nervous System Awareness
Tension doesn’t live only in the muscles — it lives in the nervous system. Working with that system, rather than around it, is what separates skilled guided movement from mechanical stretching.
Structured Sessions
There is a beginning, middle, and end to every session. The work is thoughtful and sequenced — so your body can follow it rather than brace against it. You’re not improvised around.
The Setting Is Part
of the Work.
The in-home model wasn’t a convenience decision — it was a quality decision. When the nervous system is in a familiar environment, it doesn’t need to assess its surroundings. That baseline calm changes what’s possible in a session.
A studio is still an unfamiliar space, however pleasant. The body holds a low level of alertness there that it doesn’t hold at home. That distinction is not minor — guarded tissue doesn’t release the same way as settled tissue. The work simply goes further when the nervous system has already downshifted.
In-home also means no split attention. No front desk, no shared spaces, no logistics between sessions. From the moment I arrive to the moment I leave, the session is the only thing happening.

No concurrent sessions. No administrative overhead. No rotation. The session is the only thing happening — from arrival to departure.
Complete Privacy
Your home is your space. Sessions are contained, quiet, and entirely private — no shared environments, no waiting areas, no public check‑in.
Quality Over Volume
Core Reset Studio is deliberately small. Fewer sessions means more preparation, more attention, and more consistent outcomes for the clients I do work with.
A Small Practice.
A Specific Fit.
Core Reset Studio is selective — not out of exclusivity, but because the work goes better when there’s a genuine match. These are the kinds of clients I tend to work best with.
Adults Who Move Intentionally
People who are already active — or trying to stay that way — and want support maintaining range of motion and recovering well between efforts. Runners, lifters, golfers, cyclists.
Busy Professionals
Those carrying postural tension from long hours at a desk or frequent travel. People who want results without adding logistical complexity to their week — and who value a practitioner that comes to them.
People Who Value Discretion
Clients who prefer a private experience over a public one — and who appreciate working with someone who takes confidentiality and professional boundaries seriously.
Those Ready to Be Present
Assisted stretching works best when someone arrives with a degree of body awareness and a willingness to follow direction. Not expertise — just presence and an honest account of what they’re feeling.
“I’ve been working with Stephen for years, and the consistency of his work is rare. He is professional, knowledgeable, and deeply skilled. Core Reset Studio has made a meaningful difference for me.”
Brigitte T.“Stephen has an exceptional ability to recognize what the body needs and work with it in a precise, effective way. I always leave feeling lighter, more open, and more settled. Core Reset Studio offers a level of attention that is hard to find.”
